When in Rome....!

I am always inspired from my trip to Italy 2 years ago, and I still get excited when I get to eat a good Italian dish or I hear others who are going to Italy.  I can't contain myself and I would love to recreate my trip again, or the ideas, for a wedding or an event!  Here are some really beautiful ideas!  Enjoy!  Ciao Bella!
As you can see, alot of the Tuscan/Italian weddings are outdoors, because the light and the colors in Italy are incredible.  They really look like the movies and the colors are out of this world!  Use COLOR, don't be afraid of it.  Also, notice that white table cloths, glass, candles, light, and food are their main design elements.  The flowers and the colors around the tables are important.  But don't worry, if you can't afford expensive rental linens, do white, and work around the white as your blank canvas.  Notice all the colors are the colors of the land, the sunsets, and the fruits in Italy.  So think about those things when choosing colors, and think about your style and it will all come together.  I think I need to go back to Italy!!   Ciao!

Ribbons and pearls

There are many things you can do at your wedding reception that are inexpensive, but look great.  Ribbons are colorful and very easy to find.  Use ribbons in a new way, drape them over each table for color, and get the cheaper table cloths.  This could save you money in the long run!
love the lanterns!  Add ribbons for a little something extra!
I really love seeing multiple photos at weddings, showing the bride and groom, either photos of them when they were dating or their engagement photos.  I think this should be a new trend, adding more photos so friends and family who may not see the couple often can seen how they have grown or their fun moments together.  It will be a hit at your wedding, and then you have a collection of the two of you in the end!
Use pearls in your wedding, either it could be something you wear, or give to your bridesmaids as gifts.  Pearls are classic and can be worn with anything!  Its a great gift!
There are neat ways to add details to your wedding, especially if its a smaller wedding.  Add napkin rings to your table setting.  Something jeweled, and unusual, and will make guests feel like they are welcomed!
I love the way this ribbon was done on this bouquet. Make sure you talk to your florist, and give them photos or ideas, drawings or actual ribbons to use.  They won't mind that at all!
This cake uses ribbons right on the cake!
I think this is a neat idea for a boutonniere!  And it may be able to be saved, instead of thrown away.

Ahoy matey!

So in my hunt for ideas for my own wedding, I thought about a nautical themed wedding, since both my fiance and I love the water, boats and the beach.  Here are some really neat ideas for a nautical themed wedding.  I think the idea is so precious, and can be less feminine like most weddings become and more gender neutral, and I think your fiance would love the ideas!  So much fun!
Check out this gorgeous cake!  I love that each layer is a different color, and the colors are so unique!  LOVE this idea!  Be different, and think about what you like, not what is normally what people expect.
