Italy!

A few years ago, my family took a trip to Italy.  It was the most amazing trip I have ever been on, well besides my honeymoon of course.  But it was amazing, and such an experience.  I always heard the light was different there, and I never thought that it was the the truth, but it WAS!  The lighting was incredible there, and the sunsets were out of this world.  I have attached a few photos of the light in Rome the first night we were there.  I can't wait to share more photos.  This is of the Coliseum at sunset, the sun was hitting the side just right.

 This is called the "wedding cake building" since it has so many layers, again the sun was hitting the front, and changed the whole look of the building.  One of my favorite things was that everyone walked, or rode little Vespas around town to get to their destination.  It was such a neat feeling being there. 

 These steps were incredible! 

 This was out of a movie, as we walked up the steps, to the top of the square was an orchestra playing songs out of Star Wars, not the battle scenes but the romantic scenes and the in AW scenes....it was loud but beautiful.  And again, the sun was incredible. 

When in Rome....I think this is the perfect saying!  Visiting is a must, its a life changing country.  I can't wait to post more about Italy on my Italian Tour Blog Posts!  Look out for them ; ) 

Vintage Blue

My brother in law is getting married in May.  His fiance is in love with that blue and white china, and wants to do the whole wedding around that china.  I have loved her ideas so far, and wanted to look up some more just because its a neat idea for a wedding.  I love the idea of taking something that you love and incorporating it into a wedding or dinner party or your every day life.  If she had more china I know she would use it everyday to eat lunch and dinner.  Its a nice way to make your day special.  Here are some blue ideas :)

And I think this color combo is really beautiful.  I think for May there will be plenty of flowers and elements that she can add to her blue and white theme. Its classic and clean, and is going to be beautiful! Its totally opposite from our wedding which will be so much fun to see the differences.  Enjoy Monday and the Blue theme!

One more pillow....

I meant to add this to the last post, but kind of forgot about it, since its kind of new!  Its a favorite pillow of mine, and I think I may have to keep it...well not completely sure just yet! 

New from Blue Chair!

So I have been working on a few things for Blue Chair.  Some I haven't finished for this post, and some I have.  I have started thinking, its going to be winter before too long, so the flowers need to be more geared towards the winter months, and the looks need to be a little more dramatic.  Holiday parties are coming, and its going to be here before we know it.  Here are a few things, some on Etsy, and some are gifts for Christmas.  Enjoy!

 I decided another necklace was in order.  This time black is the color.  I am working on another color, more to come!

 And now, a belt, yes a belt.  Its not leather, but its ribbon, lace, and other black material.  Its made to order, so right now, its an XXXXXXL and once someone purchases, I can get the dimensions so its custom. 

 My new black tweed flower, with black lace.  I made one for a dear friend of mine, and added an embellishment to the center.  But this one is a little different, little less formal. 

 Traditional burlap!  Its been a big hit lately...

 This was a custom order for a friend.  She wanted black velvet around the chandelier.  It turned out really unique.  I am working on another one similar. 

 Red burlap, another crowd favorite.  I have sold both burlap on Etsy. 

 Fall is in the air, and acorns are falling off the trees.  I used the hats from the acorns, and made my own little acorns out of fabric.  They made for a neat little extra I like to add to gifts.
