To tweet or not to tweet?

Soooo, I just have NOT gotten on the Twitter bandwagon, and I keep getting little messages here and there saying you know there is a big following on Twitter, or hey do you have a twitter name?  I hesitate, since I know I won't have the time to tweet every day, or even several times that day.    I know that Etsy has a great site on Twitter, which is probably where I would start.   But do you think that would make business better, or gain insight for new ideas, or new techniques?  These are the questions.  Heck I didn't even think I would ever blog or have an Etsy page, so I guess you never know where the future will take you!

I would like to know your thoughts on Twitter and tweeting :  ) Please leave me a comment on this post stating if you tweet or not, how its helped you, and what you think are the best things you have gotten out of Twitter?!  I want you to tell me what you think of Twitter?!  And if you have a comment that you DO NOT want posted, email me, CandaceAshleyC@gmail.com

And then, I will decide!

Do you think this guy is tweeting?  He looks busy napping!  This was a pigeon I saw in Italy while in Venice.  All the other pigeons were in the square, while this one, well he chilled ; )

Enjoy your day!  Thanks for the love and advice in advanced!

  1. To tweet! It's free and 99.9% of the people are nice and helpful. Great way to cross promote and get involved with others. :O)

  2. I have twitter and I don't Use it much but using it is pretty easy. All your listings have a share button. Just click that and tweet it. Takes 1 min tops. Just keep doing that as many times as you want. Same with your blog. Share your new blog post on twitter. I have found many friends on twitter as well as customers. So You never know until you try it. Give it a go. Just don't expect to hit it off right on. Follow other people also. Twitter is great for meeting people that do the same things you do.

  3. I'm still not on the facebook bandwagon, so I'm probably not qualified to weigh in...tho, I think the twitter thing is so crazy.

  4. I am on twitter and have it linked so that new posts automatically "publish" to twitter tweets. I must admit, I have never really gotten into twittering the same way I took to facebook, but I see a decent amount of traffic coming from twitter, not to mention, a few introductions to great people. Besides, what have you got to lose?

  5. In a former life I published a large website and tweeting was...just something I had to do on a daily basis. I hated every minute of it. I can't even say hello in 140 characters! I had hundreds of followers and I couldn't see that I gained ANYTHING from the tweet agony! BTW, I have almost 300 "friends" on Facebook and it doesn't help my business either ~ go figure!

  6. Hi Candace Ashley! I don't do either Twitter or Facebook. So I can't tell you how or if either of these would be helpful to you. I don't do them because I already spend so much time blogging, I think these would just take too much more of my precious time. But I'm slow. Thanks for an interesting conversation!

  7. I am not sure if I am going to tweet? I want to do more, but not sure if twitter is my favorite idea?? Still thinking, keep the love coming!

  8. I HAVE been called a "twit" but, I do not tweet, twitter or even text. I am trying hard to resist this technology. Seems to me that we get so invested in it that we fail to connect face to face (or at least voice to ear). kt

  9. LOL Yes I am sure that little fellow is tweeting - probably out the wrong end! LOL

I don't tweet, it's that one more thing I just can't get myself to do. I blog and Facebook and get a lot of sales from that. I just don't feel like I can put any more energy into one more thing!
Now I feel like an old fart! LOL it really depends if you text a lot and are comfortable adding in a few more then go for it!
